Agenda 2010

YM 2010 Agenda

The National Youth Ministry (YM) Agenda 2010 is ready for you.

The theme is “Sold Out”.  It’s time for a deeper level.

Our year begins in March with Conclave 2010. All leaders are expected to attend. Last year we focused on Project Management. Come see what we have for you this year.

Then National YM Convention is as usual slated for May 1. Capitalize on this early notice to begin all the preparatory work to ensure your successful participation.

The Book to be studied is Malachi. This is a very short book of four chapters. Very interesting and packed with truth. The sharpness of this book and its length could be a spring board for interesting commentary among Christian youths and should engender more participation from both males and females.

“So guard yourself in spirit and do not break faith” (NIV) Mal. 2:16b is the key verse.

After Convention all roads will lead to Camp Alpha for ASA 2010 one week of camp in the first week of August.  ASA 2009 was a powerful and life-altering experience and it could only get better in 2010.

The biggest thing happening on the YM 2010 Calendar however, will be the KD AWARDS! It’s in October. You should begin to gear yourself for this event. Nominate persons to be awarded. The categories are arts and entertainment, sports, academic achievements and kingdom achievers.

Most importantly though you should plan to be there, this will be the biggest event ever in the Christian community. Be part of a historic activity.

Later on the calendar will be Speed-the-Light. All YMs take note; Speed-the-Light is on the Third Sunday, October 17, 2010. The National YM Fun Day is also in the month of October.

Begin making the necessary arrangements to be part of each activity.
Each Section and YM should begin planning with the National YM 2010 Calendar as its primary guide.
